The Bat-Caddy X4R™ is one of the most innovative and unique remote controlled caddies and one the best-selling remote controlled motorized caddies in North America. In its 5th model year, it features an amazingly lightweight high tech aluminum frame weighing in at only 24 lbs (11kg). It has an easy two-step, two-click set up design folding into a package that is smaller than most regular push carts.
It is propelled by two powerful independently controlled quiet 200W motors, a wide range FCC authorized remote control system which gives you full control up to 90-120 yards. It comes with a powerful, long-lasting 36Ah sealed lead acid (SLA) battery or with the super light, compact and environmentally friendly Lithium battery. The trolley can also be operated manually with a seamless rheostat and cruise control and can be easily pushed even without battery power, so you will never be stuck out on the course.
The X4R differentiates itself from the X3R by the innovative, European inspired frame design with adjustable handle height, its slightly more compact size, as well as its remarkable agility. Both caddies share the same, proven key components, such as motors, batteries, electronics and remote control systems.

High Tech Aluminum Alloy Frame and Stainless Steel Components: Extreme light weight, durable, sleek design. Durable and strong components are the key ingredient for a high-quality caddy and a lasting positive experience. Bat-Caddy uses only high-grade aluminum and stainless steel for its key components, such as the frame, motors, housings, and axles.

Powerful, Quiet, Fast, Independent Dual Direct Drive Motors: The X4R features a pair of powerful and quiet 200 Watt DC electric motors, inconspicuously hidden and protected in a small aluminum tube. For this caddy, Bat-Caddy eliminated the aesthetically unpleasing gearboxes with hidden direct drive motors. Also, the caddy will master any hill (30+ degrees climbing ability) and reaches a top speed of 5.5 mph+.
Easy to use Multi-Function Remote Control: Features directional controls and effective brake/stop functions, as well as a manual rheostat, handle control, On/Off buttons, cruise control functions, a Power and Battery Charge Indicator and a USB port all integrated into a streamline handle design.
Electronic Brake System and Off-Power Freewheeling Mode Feature: The caddy can be slowed down or stopped both remotely or manually, and has automatic motor resistance to slow it down going downhill. However, in Off-Power mode it is freewheeling, so even if you ever run out of battery power you can push the X4R just like a manual push cart
Remote and Manual Speed Control: Remote forward, backward, left & right, and stop. You set the pace up to 100-120 yards range (10-20 yards operating range recommended). Seamless speed adjustment on both the handle and remote control. Also timed advance forward feature (10, 20, 30 yards/meter) via remote control.
Seamless Speed Control Engages Wheels Slowly: The Bat-Caddy won’t “jump” or getaway. This is an important feature since many "cheap" caddies don't allow you to operate them in a continuous smooth mode via a seamless rheostat control.
Anti-Tip Wheel: A standard removable rear stabilizer wheel to prevent tipping over on hills is included. We now also offer an upgrade option to the "Mountain Slayer" Deluxe anti-tip wheel which is almost a 4th wheel giving the caddy added stability on very hilly courses. Also recommended for lithium battery caddies, because the reduced battery weight moves the center of gravity up.
Torque Control Engages Wheels Slowly with Multiple Speed Control: The Bat-Caddy won't "jump" or get away or stop while turning. This is an important feature since many caddies don't allow you to operate them in a continuous smooth mode but have to stop for any command you send them through the remote and then turn very abruptly.

Bat-Caddy Warranty Overview
Bat-Caddy will cover any defect in material and workmanship resulting from personal, normal use in accordance with the owner’s manual.
The warranty is valid for one (1) year from the day of purchase for caddy, caddy parts, SLA battery and electronics. Caddy accessories are covered under this warranty for 90 days. Lithium batteries carry a two (2) year pro-rated (2nd year) warranty.
The warranty is nontransferable and limited to the person who originally purchased the product. This warranty applies only to original Bat-Caddy products purchased in the United States from Bat-Caddy, a local fully authorized Bat-Caddy dealer or distributor.

Tried for first time yesterday
Overall it was okay. It had rained a lot the previous two days and there were wet leaves everywhere. This being the first time I used it I think it took awhile to get the feel of it and I don’t think the wet grounds gave me an honest feel. I did have problems a few times where I was hitting the stop button and it would not stop right away. Also a few times it slowed down and stopped on its own. Now I was playing with another golfer who was using his 3xr and I was wondering if there might have been some interference from his remote or maybe the batteries that came with my remote weren’t very strong. Being late in the year in the northeast I don’t know if I will get a chance to play again so I may have to learn again next season.

X4r caddy
So far, so good, but ….. Remote control works well now, but past experiences with same remote are poor. Buttons/pads wear off/down lessening effectiveness and response to remote. This item could stand some improvement.

Turning
The cart performs well, but, occasionally, when executing a turn, the cart will turn violently instead of a nice easy turn. You'll never know when that will happen, so if turning toward danger, be sure to have a hands-on control of the cart or you may have to retrieve it from a sand bunker or a water hazard.

Ok Caddy
So far,1-18 and 2-9 hole days and feeling pretty good. Working on tracking and almost have it there. Pretty minimalist and using the bottle holder which works great for my medium size metal water container and the I-phone holder which works great for my yardage and score app. Left rear wheel has some modest wobble which makes me a little uneasy as to how it will do over time. Traditional battery working great. Too bad the upgrade batteries are so expensive. Feeling good today after walking 18 and not exhausted. Now just need my golf to get a little better.

first time used
Used the Bat Caddy for the first time this Monday. It was for only 4 holes because of some back issues. It was pure enjoyment during the test run. I did not have any issues with my back during the 4 holes. I'm looking forward to playing a few more holes this Thursday like 9 holes. If all goes well maybe 18 this weekend.

Hope it lasts
Surprised that this is made in China when the website states made by a company in New York. Explains why it was shipped from California. Set screw on bottom hinge had broken off metal shavings in the screw channel, husband had to re-tap the holes. Lucky he knows how to fix things. That portion seems like it could be better designed. Huge learning curve. Good News! I do like it.

Small tire issue.

I can’t get good support.
My caddy has not worked correctly since I received it. We finally figured out I have a short in the wiring cable between the handle and lower module. I’m still waiting for a new cable. So I got it a month ago and only have been able to us it 4 or 5 times. I called caddie outfit and have not got a return call. I called bat caddy direct and did get a call back in two days but still waiting to see if they shipped the part or not. I purchased a bat caddy because we have a local dealer. However they are close due to Covid. I really just need the part so I can fix it

Bat Caddy purchase
I love my Bat Caddy but it does take some getting used to - I needed to get a heavier, more bottom weighted, golf bag to keep my caddy more upright on steep hills - Generally great, love walking the course for exercise and time thinking about the next shot without lugging the clubs around or taking a cart
